Counter-Culture Groups

Generally counter-culture groups are ignored, and so while this does mean some discrimination against them in areas such as hiring where they would be seen by general public, violence against these groups is very rare.

ñasen

Some young males, as a way of identifying themselves with a counter culture simular to the human "punk" culture trim the spikes on their heads down so they no longer have points, and wear bright and provocative clothing.

ladesen (homosexual)

Some males who identify themselves as female, or are attracted to other males go as far as removing the spikes completely. They also commonly cross-dress.

ladhunen, Ladsilvane and Lad!asany

A counter-culture embracing non-salthan aesthetics, such as human (ladhunen), or Sylvanian (ladsylvanian) or both (lad!asany).  These incorporate a mish-mash of various dress such as human dress like pants and skirts (modified for the Salthan physique), dances and customs. These groups rose mostly during the 50 year war as a protest against the war, and was in a large way an element of the resistance movement.

ñaka

A subculture that rejects the definite existence of knowledge, instead in believing that all knowledge is really ultimately unknowable, subjective and personal. This movement was spurned by Salthan philosophers such as Uksy.
