Santhan Sects

Below is an incomplete list of a number of sects of the Santh religion. Some of these groups consider the others heretical. Many of the different sects arrive simply from a difference in emphasis on a single aspect of the religion.

Rel's Dawn

A sect that is a mix of mystery religion and Santhan. They believe that one day Rel will overthrow Santh in the day of the fiery dawn. Most believe that Daradelsanth was a fool, falling for a false story or a liar, and that he misrepresented Santh as being more benevolent than he really is, and that the truth is Rel was badly mistreated by Santh. They believe in the end when Rel overthrows Santh his followers will rule as minor deities over the earth. They tend to have a more strict view of purity and punishment, and tend to preform self-flagellation more frequently and more harshly than other sects.

Dausiksai ("The one part way")

They do not believe in divines, but that divines are actually descriptions of aspects of Santh. Views sects of the religion that believe in the divines as polytheistic heretics.

Nakatism (Nakatelksy, lit "Nakat's way")

A sect, founded by Gika Nakat (1101-1044 NG). He taught that there is no such thing as free will, and that everything everyone does is controled by Santh. Because of this they tend to be fatalistic in their outlook.

Utism

A group that has intertwined Sylvanian pantheism with Santhan religion. ("Uti" is the sylvanian word for sun). They beleive that Santh is a part of everything, and beleive in reincarnation with no heaven or hell, but the good will become one with the planet. Considered a heretical cult by all of the other sects.
