The revolution of 3 KG (also known as "the final revolution", "the final result" and "the breaking grain of sand") was an uprising that resulted in the deposing of king Kakela.  The name is often used to refer to the entire era of revolt over the course of the last 27 years.

Cause of the Revolution

Since near the beginning of his reign, King Kakela's policies has caused much hatred against him,  and ruling noble class. Kakela instituted steep taxes, and systematically silenced and oppressed outspoken critics, using prison, floggings and execution. There had been since much violence and short anti-royalist actions for the last decade, with burst of times of relative calm. On September 8th, the largest justification, and what became the symbol of the entire anti-royalist revolutionary movement was the flogging at Karathe,  when  Kakel ordered a man, his fiance and her young brother brought to the stage at the |aulstasehathe in Karathe, where they were publicly stripped naked and brutally flogged.

"For our shamed and suffering brothers and sister" was a rallying cry used by some of the revolution.

Action of the revolution began on the morning of  April 31st, 3 KG, when the armed revolutionaries first attacked a band of soldiers delivering weapons from a smith in Ten Terak as it neared the Eastern gate of Karathe. With these new weapons the then armed revolutionaries attacked the armory of the guard baracks, evidently even recrutiting some guardsmen who were sympathetic to their cause, and killing others.

the revolutionaries then laid siege to the main palace of the king. The city guard was busy with riots and looting in the city. Guards across the city were recalled to the palace, but by the time they arrived it was too late. At a little after the  twentieth hour (around 2 am), May 9th the main doors of the palace was breached, and the city guard were overwhelmed.

Aftermath

Kakela was found guilty of crimes against the nation and people of Saltha, and was executed on August 7th, 3 KG.  Representatives of the new provisional goverment drafted a constittution, establishing a democratic repbulic. The constitution was ratified by the five districts 6 years later, on June 22nd, 0 NG, according to the modern calendar.
